Hello,
Firstly I'd like to apologize as this has probably been posted before but I still cannot find a solution. I have a sony vaio vgn-nr38e with Windows vista home premium 64 bit. My fn mute and volume work (but no on screen graphic) and fn brightness doesn't work. I've downloaded every driver possible but cannot find a solution. Can anyone help please?? P.S. I'm an on the couch laptop user and not a technician so go easy on me [Smile]

Hello,
Try this 1
Download the "Utilities" drivers from the manufacture's website.
Click on the below link and follow the instructions
http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-NR38E_S/updates
Click on "Downloads" tab --> Under "Preinstalled Drivers and Utilities", click on
Windows Vista --> Download the files "SFEP Driver", "VAIO Event Service",
"Sony Shared Library " and other utilities if required.
Good Luck
