Formatting not working at all...

Hello,

I have a 2GB SD memory card Toshiba. I use it for my 3DS and then one day i updated my 3DS. I found my SD card was destroyed by it so I tried using it on my Laptop on windows vista.When i loaded it, it said you need to format it so I formatted it fat but while it was it said Windows cannot format E:/ please help I tried formatting it to NTFS and is says the same error. Please help!
