Hello,

I have been having a problem with my CD-ROM its as if it has a mind of its own. It works when it wants to and doesn't if it doesn't want to. I am not that a computer savy but I have gone through other suggestions posted but nothing work. My OS is windows7. It's a laptop and the brand is Acer. The CD-ROM was reading before but it stopped and would only work when it wants to. Please help me.

Hi

The lens is no doubt filthy and must be cleaned.

You're welcome.

Looks very much like a random circuit failure which only a hands on qualified technician can attend too.

oh I see... I was hoping it would not come to that but I guess I have to have this checked after all. What do you think could have done this?
