What is the PC manufacturer and what software does it use? Some restore software will make a copy of the old data. If no copy was made then some data might be recovered by commercial recovery software. You can search for recovery software on the Internet.
Please be advised that any use of the PC will destroy some existing data. The recovery is best attempted using another computer for the software and removing the the reformatted hard disk.
