Laptop shuts off (NOT overheating)
Closed
Hello,
When I play games my laptop can shut off randomly, anywhere between 1 hour to 5 hours. And sometimes when I leave the laptop on over night, 10+ hours it would still be on the next day. I check both my CPU and GPU temperatures using coretemp and GPU temp. My core temp maintains a max of 65c, while my GPU also maxes at 65c. Like I said its random, and isnt a overheating issue, If it was, wouldnt it shut down anytime it hits 65c? Because it stays at 65c (or around there) for hours.
Im using a laptop, this is the model :VPCF116FX
And just to be sure, I opened up the laptop, removed any dust, there wasnt much and I also replaced the thermal paste.

Did you check the Windows problem log?
This could be a problem with one of your memory cards.

The only way I monitored my RAM was using the taskmanager, I kept an eye on how much was available, and a steady 1200 was available. whatever that meant

This Microsoft site has instructions for reading the error log:
