External monitor stopped working with laptop
Solved/Closed
Hello,
I have a dell inspiron laptop with a samsung monitor plugged in.
Worked fine until today.. external monitor won't turn on...
I have tried rebooting, unplugging, etc.
the monitor stays black but the little logo that says digital goes away, and the on and off lite on the monitor stays blinking.
appreciate any help, not really a techny.

Hello,
Try this 1.
1) Connect it to the external monitor then switch ON your laptop. If you failed to
get the display in external monitor, then use the proper combination keys(like
Fn+F5/ the function key that's having the monitor symbol on it) to toggle
between your laptop screen and the external monitor.
2) Try decreasing your screen resolution.
3) If the problem still exists then update your video drivers.
Good Luck.
