Hello,

Thank you so much for the kill any pending updates, I am also stuck at the 3 of 3 update screen my questions is is there another way to get around the first part of the insert the Recovery/Install DVD on the computer, my DVD does not work? answer from Nov. 26,2009

use a linux ubuntu live cd (on a USB flash drive) to boot up then go in and delete the file pending.xml in the folder windowsWinSXS
in the drive with vista on it
