Hello,
I have a Toshiba satellite L755-S5354. I haven't had any problems until now. Everytime I try to turn it on. It flashes the Toshiba logo, then blackscreens. I've tried some of the ways to solve this problem that I've found on this website, but nothing has worked yet. I've only had it for a year and 3 months now. I rely heavily on my laptop and my life would be very hard without it. I have a research paper due
in a few days, but no way to recover it. Any help would be great ASAP.

There are two things that could have failed:
1. the hard drive
2. the motherboard

In the case of a failed hard drive. There is no practical way to recover your work. But, a new hard drive might get the laptop working again.

A failed motherboard probably left your hard drive readable. You can buy a USB hard drive enclosure to convert the hard drive to an external drive. You could then use the drive on another computer.

Good luck
