Hello,
I have a Compaq Presario 2100 that won't turn on. Whenever I press the Power Button, it turns on, no screen, and turns off. It only stays on for a second (for real, a second) and turns off. Exactly a second, and turns off. HELP?

You probably have a hardware problem. Either the motherboard or the CPU. There is not much YOU can do. Professional repair cost probably exceeds the cost of buying a new laptop.
