Cannot recover data from external hard drive

Hello,

I have tried today to use my external hard drive and when I accessed the documents looked different as usual, I tried to access them, but somehow they dissapeared, I didn't delete them. When I try to search for them, I can find them, otherwise I cannot see them.

I tried to run the command: attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.* as it helped in a previous case, however, when I try I receive access denied, even though I have admin rights.
