If you have lost your Recovery Disc(s) and need a replacement please call Toshiba at 1-800-663-0378.

The only problem is every time I tell them the serial number they tell me it not the right one I tell them its the one from bottom of my laptop and its old so since they say numbers not right they wont help me

The only thing is that ive tried that I told them I just bought this toshiba tecra and need new hatd drive and the recovery disc and they ask for serial number and I tell it to them and the say that is not the right one then I explain its a very old one then they hang up. So what do I do know?

I suggest you download a Linux bootable CD to test the hardware. You can download a Ubuntu ISO image and burn it to a CD on another computer. Then you set the BIOS to boot from the CD. That should give you an idea if you have hardware problems.
