Hi, I need some help from a knowledegable user. I goofed
I "fried" a USB port by using an external DVD recorder with the wrong voltage on the power cord. Boot now stops with the error message that the USB has been "fried". Press ESCs to continue.
I would like to remove this keyboard intervention to finish the boot. I do not care that the USB prot is dead.
I just want it to boot to Windowa without external intervnetion. I am using Windows XP on an older Lenovo laptop X200.
I apprecaite any tips you can give me. I went into the BIOS and could not figure out what to update. Help!
Thanks

Hello,
Try this 1
Go to your CMOS settings (BIOS) --> Check if there is any option available that
says "Halt On" --> Set it to No Errors --> Save the settings and exit from it.
OR
In CMOS Settings, look for the option "Always On USB" under USB and disable it.
Good Luck
