Deleted files go nowhere. They stay where they were recorded until the space is reused. That's why recovery programs can sometimes recover lost/deleted files. Windows will move the index for the file to the "Recovery Bin". But, the file will not be physically moved.

See when you delete anything from your hard drive then the files doesn't go anywhere , it remains in the hard drive only till the time those files has no been overwritten by other files.
