Overheated Laptop

PSKDLA-0CC00R - TOSHIBA SATELLITE L850 -

My Toshiba Satelitte overheated and shutdown on Saturday. Since then it will turn on but the display won't turn on. I tried hooking it up to an external monitor but also displays nothing. Any ideas would be much appreciated. When I switch on the power button the fan, cd drive and keyboard still appear to work so I am hopping that the motherboard isn't damaged. Is it possible i fried the CPU or Graphics card?
