My Windows xp wont recognise my 2nd Sata hard drive at all.

I've installed a 2nd hard drive but my Dell Precision PC does not even know its there.

hi Zohaib,my PC is a Dell Dimension 3100 and has a WD 800AAJS HDD but I have a lot of music on it,so its running slow.I tried to install another Sata HD but the PC doesnt recognise it at all.Not even in Bios or Disk Management

Hi tomken38,

As the Hard Drive is not detected in the BIOS, this might be a Hard Drive failure or cable failure. Try connecting this Hard Drive to a different computer and check if it works. Also, try using a different SATA cable to identify the cable failure.
