Dell inspiron 600m keys are wrong

Hello,
My college daughter has a problem. She says that when she hits the . (period) a 6 comes up. When she hits the letter O, ae comes up. Several other keys are also messed up but they are all on the right side of the keyboard.

See if she can borrow a keyboard (USB or PS/2 if the 600m has a PS/2 port). Then she can test to see if the problem is with the laptop's internal keyboard itself. Report back on the results.

Sounds like she has numblock might be one you need to turn it off.
