White screen of death and home button not working Closed

Question

Hi

I have an ipod touch 4th gen 32gb. It has the white screen of death but also the home button does not work. I have still tried holding the power button with the home button ( will not work) also power button, home button and volume up keys together again does not work. I have also tried plugging into laptop to restore using itunes. It recognises the ipod and starts the restore however it asks for the passcode which I cannot put in as the screen is just white. Is there anything I can do or is it time to get a new ipod ?

No it doesn't work the screen eventually goes black so kept hold even longer and still just stays black then when I press the power key it's still white :(
