Hello, I have a Compaq Presario V3000 with Window Xp. I have used it for almost 4 years now. I start to notice this problem several days ago.
--- It won't start up after I shut it down, but after 20 to 30 times retry it would start up like it normally should.

I think its battery problem, because i have been used my laptop by connecting the charger from some previous months due to battery was giving backup only for 2-5 minutes. And now I had to always put it on hibernate, scared that it won't start up forever. But for how long should I do this? From what I heard, it's not good to put laptop on hibernate on daily basis.

Is there anyone having the same problem with me? Can someone help me please?

You can try the hard reboot process:
1. remove the battery and power cord
2. push and hold down the power button for 45 seconds
3. restore battery and power cord
4. restart the laptop

This will reset the laptop if it had problems with hibernation.

Good Luck
