Black screen with 5 choices 1.safe mode 5. start windows normal

Hello,
When I on my laptop Windows Vista and it boot up to a black screen with 5 choices
1.safe mode
5. start windows normally
i key in number 5 and enter and it load very long for about 14mins. then if flash a blue screen in 1 seconds and it restarted again and it go back to the black screen with 5 choices.
Then I enter 1 safe mode and it happen the same thing again
Anyone know what happen to the laptop? plss help me. tnx by the way its acer aspire. windows vista. thanks for your help

it's possible the hard disk has failed. I suggest you have a local repair shop take a look at it.
