Hello,
I'm currently experiencing problems with my laptop, which is an HP2000 Notebook. (But I kind of hate the Windows 8 :P)

I believe the device is refusing to boot, although it isn't displaying any error messages; come to think of it, it doesn't display anything. However, the screen is on, the backlight is still intact, the fan still blows and the hard disk still spins.

I tried reseating the hard disk (three times, actually) earlier when it displayed an error (3F0, probably because I dropped my laptop and knocked it loose) where it couldn't detect a boot device, which then transitioned into this issue.

I tried reseating it again and it doesn't work. I also tried the troubleshooting method that involved shutdown and the removal of the battery, but that doesn't work either.

Once, it displayed a blue screen, but I absentmindedly turned the device off before I could actually do anything.... I do remember it saying that I needed to recover the stuff on it, I think.
I honestly think this is a software issue....

halp me wat do

Well dropping the computer has probably damaged the motherboard. I suggest you take it to a local repair shop. They will probably tell you it will cost more to repair than to replace.

Good Luck
