My laptop won't start

My laptop is onbut the screen is black and the jaybirds won't work I connect the laptop to my desktop monitor
But nothing happens the fan is working too my laptop model Toshiba satellite L500

ah sorry that stupid predictive text is on i me an the kaybord won't work when i try to turn on the caps lock and num lock all i hear is the fan and the lights flashes

I wish there was some simple solution. But, it looks like you will need to have a local computer tech take a look at the laptop. Nothing beats "hands on access".

Have you tried basic troubleshooting such as removing the battery for 1 minute and then putting it back on? could be that the voltage meter is overly fed and you might need to remove the battery to remove the excess amps in your motherboard.

Yeah i did that and changed the ram in the other slot the only thing i didn't check is the cpu i don't know how to do that but my battery is dead i use the AC Adapter and it's work's and sometimes stop charging until i moveit could this be a problem? i was planning to buy a new one with a new battery

Try this 1

Unplug the power --> remove the battery --> Hold the power button for 60

seconds to 2 minutes --> Connect the power supply then try to switch ON the laptop and later

Put the battery back into the laptop.
