Everyday when I open my PC, till welcome screen & logon window everything is fine. When I login, wallpaper arrives & desktop icons load after 30-40 seconds. After that all works fine. Is there any solution to this problem.

Google CCLeaner its free and you can clean the registries, this will perk up the desktop a good bit, you might also have a virus or spyware (google free avg and spybot search and destroy free also ) I would also have alook at what programs are running when you open, sometimes if you a few applications like skype or whatever that open and login when you login this can slow down the computer alot

Your system specs would be helpful. Without them I am only guessing. I had the same problem and it was related to my SSD. JMicron controlled models have this problem. Their random write speeds over time become next to 0. As soon as I swiched back to my Velociraptors, the problem went away.
