Torrent working internet not working. it shows as connected

hello,
i have hp satellite newly bought with windows 8.1.
Net is working very well in the office
in home only torrent is working browser says not connected.
can someone help with this problem

The torrent software probably broke the DNS settings. You can try the following:
Press the Windows + R keys on your keyboard from any screen.
Result: The Run window displays.
Enter CMD in the Open field.
On the black screen, right next to where the cursor is flashing, choose one of the following then type the information as directed. Do not use spaces:
To view your IP address:
Type ipconfig and press Enter.
To release your IP address:
Type ipconfig/release and press Enter
To renew your IP address:
Type ipconfig/renew and press Enter
When finished, click the X in the upper right corner to close the black screen.
