NO BOOT

Was wondering if someone can help. i have a Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop. I am unable to get my comp to boot up. Keeps telling me "no boot device found". i removed the battery, i also managed to get into the settings window by repeatedly hitting "F8". i now get a mesage saying "SATA PORT 0 Toshiba MQ01ABF032 LOCK" . i thought this was a Dell. Do i need a recovery disk or a hammer?

The Toshiba MQ01ABF032 reference indicates a problem with the hard drive. I suggest you contact Dell for a replacement drive.

thank you, but why Does a Dell computer have a toshiba hard drive?

Dell does not make hard drives or CPUs or any of the chips on the motherboards.
