Hi,
My Facebook account has been hacked and I can't log in. When I try, it asks for a verification code and there is no code there to use. It is a very basic text only page.

So you would like to use your account for various reasons, I think that most people use it also for the same reasons as you which are various.
Have you asked Facebook for a verification code?
See here, you must provide your e-mail address the same that normally gives you access to your account

"I would like to be able to use fb on my computer for various reasons" which is evident. I also use my account for various reasons. If on Kioskea's main page, you click on the Facebook link you will find out one of my various reasons.
