I cannot connect to the internet, DNS server not responding

Hello, I have a Sony Vaio Laptop. The thing is I cannot connect to the internet, I cannot factory reset my computer (it asks for a disc). Is there any solutions for this problem? I have tried fixing the DNS many times, but it still won't let me connect to the internet. Thank you for your time.

Hello,

there are many factors which will affect whether or not you can connect to the internet.

first of all, what is your network setup?

Who's network is it?

can other devices connect?

did it work?
