Acer laptop screen blank urgent help needed

My Acer Laptop screen is blank when I turn it on but just the other day before I powered it down everything was fine. Then this morning when I turned it on nonething but a blank black screen. I tried the suggestion about unplugging the computer and take out the battery hold the power button down for 30 to 2mintues etc... But it didn't work. I really need an answer because my paper that's due this Saturday is saved on my laptop. So if anyone could give me a solution by than,thank you.
