Acer laptop screen blank urgent help needed

My Acer Laptop screen is blank when I turn it on but just the other day before I powered it down everything was fine. Then this morning when I turned it on nonething but a blank black screen. I tried the suggestion about unplugging the computer and take out the battery hold the power button down for 30 to 2mintues etc... But it didn't work. I really need an answer because my paper that's due this Saturday is saved on my laptop. So if anyone could give me a solution by than,thank you.

I suggest you find a local repair shop that can remove the hard disk and put it in an "external USB" adapter. That way you can use the hard drive from another computer. They can also do a diagnostic evaluation of your laptop to see if it can be fixed.
