1TB Western Digital Hardisk Not Getting Dettected

Hello,

My one TB Hard disk Western Digital Hard Disk not opening in Windows 7 operating system Laptop. When i am trying to click on Hard disk icon-windows cannot access hard disk'message coming.

Please sugest how to solve this problem

I suggest you test with another computer. I suspect you have a failed hard drive that needs to be replaced.

can i retrive data on the hard disk ?

Probably not. It's very hard to recover data if the drive can't be opened. You can try some of the free recovery trial software.

type in run box diskmgmt.msc check to see if the drive is shown in the list

does it have a drive "Letter"? is it ntfs file system?


you can right click on the drive disk partition click properties click tools and click errorcheck button

i finally opened my hard disk after scanning, but now it is showing raw files, in which i cant see my original documents.

Please tell me how to recover my original files from raw file system.
