PC Hangs alot

Hello,

I am having PC with Window XP, earlier it was running normally, but now it hangs alot. i showed it to a friend he told that there is problem with motherboard. so do i have to replace the motherboard.

kindly provide me solution of the problem.

Before you do all of that, start with all of the boards in the MB first. Take out all the ram and boot it up. Take notice of what it does. Now put in one ram, and boot. See if its indictions have changed. Take that one out, and put in another one. Does it still operate the same? Make one change at a time, and see if it changes the way it operates. If the indications are the same all the time, the only thing that is in common then would be the MB.

Have a go with that way first.
