Today i tried to turn my laptop on and when I did so it would load for three seconds or so and then shutdown. I then researched about my problem and found that if i took the battery out and just used the charger that it would turn on which it did. But I would rather not have my laptop continuously plugged into the wall. I've tried waiting a while before inserting the battery while on and off and nothing works. Please help

how old is the laptop? After about 3 years of moderate or 2 years of heavy usage the battery may need to be replaced. Often times cheap off-brand battery replacements do not last. I suggest you buy a battery from the original manufacturer.

If inserting the battery after the laptop has booted results in a crash. Then I suspect either a shorted-out battery or a failure of the charging circuits in the laptop.

You might need to take the laptop to a local repair shop to find what needs to be replaced.

Good Luck
