Why no audio in TV when I connected my Dell LT to Sony Bravia TV

Hello,
When I connected my Dell Inspiron laptop to the PC port of Sony Bravia LCD tv - NOT HDMi but PC port - I dont get tv audio.

DELL has a HDMi port alright but I am not able to use it due to-
1. Access to HDMi port on Sony TV is difficult as it is located at the back of wall-mounted tv-whole panel has to be removed from its wall fix to do this.
2.I dont have HDMi cable to connect PC's HDMi port to TV's.

Any suggestions?

the SVGA cable does not carry an audio signal. I suggest you buy a HDMI cable.
