My hp pavlin laptop doesn't turn on

Hello,
my hp pavlin laptop doesn't power on,i used windowsxp os,on yesterday startup and display
the os booting screen bt doesn't go inside os comes to bios setup and turn to os boot rapidly
bt today it doesn't turn on and display black screen no other changes,pls help me.

Sounds like a failed hard drive to me.
