Facebook presents untrusted connection error

Recently when trying to access facebook, I get an untrusted connection error with the specific error of:

www.facebook.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

1. There is no option for "I understand the risks" I am running Firefox version 33.1
2. I have reset my time and date function and it does not solve the problem
