Help - various keys on Toshiba laptop keyboard not working!

I wanted to clean my toshiba laptop, keyboard included - with "dry" damp wipes - but afterwards, even though really did not press down hard on the keys when wiping, now various keys not working - I don't want to make things worse by trying playing with F keys to resolve what might be a simple problem... Any answers/solutions would be SO welcome.

You could use a hot air hair dryer to dry out the keyboard.
