My ipod says its charging but it really isn't

Hello,

well charging my iPod is very hard and I know that it has low battery, but when I plug my iPod up it says its charging and in 1 or 2 sec/ the apple icon shows up then after 1 or 2 min/ it goes back to the battery that's says its charging. It never turns on I tried every thing I need help please

Apparently you battery is dead, I'll advise to buy another one from an Apple certified shop.
