I have an acer aspire V5 and my screen went black mid-paper! I could still hear the music I had playing but had to force a shut down. Now it won't re-boot. I've tried all the de-static tips (unplugging and taking out the battery, wait up to an hour, hold power button down for 30 seconds, plug back in. I saw a tip to do all this with the laptop upside down and tried that too.) nothing is working! Now even if I plug it in the power light won't come on, and it was the only light showing before all this started. If there's any tech genius out there that can help me not have to restart a 15 page paper at 11pm you'll have some incredible karma coming your way. Please no backup lectures, just genuine help!!!!

You might be able to access the hard drive by removing it and putting it into a USB hard drive enclosure. then you can use another Windows laptop to access the data.

You current laptop looks to be DOA.
