Guys I am facing a strange problem. Sometime my system restart in between and my IDE Hard disk is not detected. Then I remove RAM and place it in a different slot and system starts working again. I have tried to remove all component and refitted them again but it didn't resolve my problem. Sometime system works fine till I shut it down and then when I again restart it after some time hard disk is not detected and I have to again remove and replace ram to different slot and it starts working again.
Expert please provide your comments and solution to the problem.

An old system will sometimes display these types of problems. Most of the time it's corrosion in one or more of the various sockets and connectors.

I doubt if its corrosion as I cannot find any corroded element on mother board. I am not able to understand how the problem is rectified it RAM is changed from one slot to other.
