Laptop suddenly loses connection,wont work again until restart

Hello,

I am using the dorm internet with a cable. My internet works perfectly, then suddenly it loses connection, and it wont reconnect until I restart my laptop. Any ideas please? Thank you!

I had this problem and it turned out to be a problem with the Internet hardware. I by passed the problem by buying a USB Internet adapter.

Yes, I am afraid this is a hardware problem and buying a new adapter may be the best solution, but first I want to try every possible method to repair it. Thank you for your answer anyways!
