Hi Shelley,
Have you tried restarting the explorer.exe process? Is it possible to enter the Task Manager? If it is, end the explorer.exe and re-import by clicking on File and writing explorer.exe in the line. If this does not help you, try using The Last Known Good Configuration from the Advanced Boot Menu.
