Hello,

i have this trouble with my current vaio notebook, model VGN-C22GH/W. i started up my laptop and then i noticed that no sound can be heard even during the start-up. the volume icon showed a red-X. and when i right-click, it shows that only the playback device got no audio output device is installed. the microphone worked well using Realtek High Definition Audio. i've already tried inserting the earphone plug but to no avail. and ive already tried to mark "show disconnected devices" and "show disable devices" box but nothing happened. and i did went to the control panel to check if anything goes wrong with the sound system. but no warning sign there. except at the network adapter thingyy.

sorry. but i dont get about the sound card, the BIOS thing, cause i'm a real beginner in this gadget world. hope somebody here could help me to find the way out.

thanks and hope to get the feedbacks soon. :)

You need to reinstall the sound driver. Please refer to the manual provided when you bought your computer.
