What is wrong with the spacebar

I have a toshiba laptop and for some reason all of a sudden when i hit the spacebar the screen resolution changes. In effect i can't type anything because the spacebar isn't working properly. I would appreciate some help.

Probably the Function key is stuck down.

Thanks, but it doesn't seem to be a stuck key.
