Headphones not working

I have emachine (e730) laptop, the speakers are ok, when I plug headphones the voices are not clear, but music is clear. I updated reinstalled the drivers but still having the problem.

The problem might the end of the lead is bent try playing music while bending the lead at different angles and see if the sound changes.
