Headphone jack wont work

Hi,

Recently i have plugged in my headphones to my computer, and not only will they not play sound, they will also not show up on my audio devices list... i've tried other headphones, and they wont work, i tried to update my drivers, but it says they are up to date, so if you know why, please tell..... Thx!!

Well, your headphones, are they USB?

Let us know what kind so that we can give you an educated guess why it is not working. If it is standard headphones, they will no show up in device list. Let us know when they stopped working, or did they ever?

they are beats and they work on my tablet, what i think it might be is that my cord hooking it up to my computer is unplugged, but im not sure
