My compaq cq57s power button wont work

my cq57 overheated my fiancee tried to see if he could swap out the internal fan he couldnt get the whole bottom to come apart so i asked him to just put it back together and now although the light shows its charging the battery the power button isnt working my laptop won't turn on HELP

Sorry you probably need to replace the laptop since replacement would most likely cost less that paying someone to fix the Compaq. He broke something when he tried to disassemble the laptop. Since everything is mounted on the motherboard it might require a new motherboard to fix the problem.

You can probably use a USB hard drive adapter to salvage the data on the hard drive.
