Hello,

I have this laptop and when i press the power button, the screen turns on, I see the Dell logo briefly, then it's just black. No windows logo or anything. I also can't seem to hear anything coming from the computer. No fan, no sound from the hard drive, nothing just a black screen. I'm not super tech savvy, and don't have the funds to take it into a shop. Any suggestions on what I might be able to do well be great.

About the only thing you can do is remove one memory module at a time to see if you have a bad module.

It appears your BIOS is encountering a hardware error when trying to boot. Replacement of the laptop or the motherboard is often the only option.

Good Luck
