depends on which version of Linux you are using.

But, you should try Num Lock or CTRL + SHIFT + Num Lock

i'm using centos. it's not working when i'm inside the bash(vim). thanks

look, the numerick keyboard can be activated just pressing the NUM LOCK button. But if you wan activate the numeric keyboard every time that you enter the console may be a little tricky. in order to accomplish that goal you have to install numlockx, edit your session manager (in my case ligthdm) gksudo gedit /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf and type this

greeter-setup-script=/usr/bin/numlockx on
