Can you post a picture of your keyboard, please ?
It's possible that the keyboard layout isn't correct in Windows configuration.

Go to the control panel -> Clock, Language and Region -> Change keyboards or other input methods. Click on the "Modify keyboards" button. Click "Add" and select the "English (Trinidad-et-Tobago) > Keyboard > Extended english (United Kingdom)" keyboard layout.
Finally, select this keyboard layout in the list displayed on the top of the window.
Log off and log on to apply changes.
Now, try to use the @ charactere with the MAJ key + the "@'" key on the right of your keyboard.
In IT, there is always a solution.
