How do i Fn lock on my windows 8 laptop

I need help ive been trying to fn lock and it wont work plz help

Follow this to find the model of your laptop : Knowing your hardware.
There is a "Dell Function Keys" utility for theses specials keys but this program should be downloaded for the right laptop model.

Hi

There is no such thing as a Windows laptop? Windows does not make or sell laptops.

Explain what you mean by Fn lock, (FN=Function).

fn lock so when i press f1 it doesnt mute my volume i want it to use its apps function not the computers function
