My headphones are not working

Hello,
Toshiba Laptop . Windows 8

when I use my headphones in they don't work usually when I push them in I can feel that it is in but I cant feel that now. when I put it into the microphone slot I can feel that it is in, but hwen I plug it into my headphone slot I cant feel that it is in and the sound is not coming from my headphones. ive never had this problem before


HELP!

Did you try your head phones in another pc and it is recognized?
Try another headphones with your pc.
Post the result back

Yeah I tried it on another computer and it works just not on mine I think the slot is damaged?

yep! Also check for latest drivers for your audio device.. driver failure also cause this..
otherwise the slot get damaged! ( you have to check another headphone into the slot to make sure)
