Did you try your head phones in another pc and it is recognized?

Yeah I tried it on another computer and it works just not on mine I think the slot is damaged?

yep! Also check for latest drivers for your audio device.. driver failure also cause this..
otherwise the slot get damaged! ( you have to check another headphone into the slot to make sure)
