I have an old laptop. I took the HHD out and, using my SATA cables, attempted to connect it to my desk top via USB. It kept asking to format so i decided to use it as a secondary/slave drive in my Desk Top.It shows up as a HHD in my Computer with NTFS along with it, but cant get access to it.
I have already followed the process of changing ownership of the drive, but i still can't get access. I checked the security of the HDD and it shows Allow to me. But every time I attempt to open it "Access Denied".
What to do now????>>>>>>>>>>>

Hi Rangerjcxa,
This sounds like a permission issue. What version of Windows are you using? From My Computer -> Properties -> Security, search for the Owner tab. Adjust it to Every User. I leave you a link to a similar issue. The suggestions may be helpful to you.
https://www.tomshardware.com/
Other think you could do is use the Check tool from My Computer, right click on the drive, go to Tools and use the Check now feature.
Go to Disk Management and see if the drive appears and how it appears. You may need to use right click and then Import Foreign Disk.
Hope this helps
